The 30 Day Snap!

Hey there! I've so far been pretty useless at blogging so I've decided to try out this really cool 30 Day Snap challenge. This has been set up by the lovely Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter who I am a huge fan of and because anyone is able to get involved I thought I might as well give it a go.

You can read more about it by simply clicking the image above. Hopefully this will get me on track and posting regularly. I'm really looking forward to it and I think it will be nice at the end of the month to look back on what I've been up to. Fingers crossed I can stick to it and I can't wait to see the kinds of thing other people post.

Hair | Trying something a little different...

Top- Zara | Lipstick - Rouge in Love by Lancôme

 

So today I was really bored before I went to work and decided to straighten my hair. I know it's not exactly anything unusual for most people but I very rarely spend time even brushing my hair never mind straightening it! I love how smooth my hair felt but I'm not sure if it just looks a bit limp and lifeless when it's straight because to me it seems so thin. What do you think of it? And do you prefer wearing your hair straight, wavy or curly?

Bargain of the week #1 | Primark crop top

Crop Top | Primark

Picked this up in Primark for about £3ish (I can't remember exactly how much it was- sorry!) and I'm so thrilled with it. I saw a similar one in Topshop about a month ago for at least 3 times the price and when I spotted this I just HAD to have it. I'm in love with the bright orange/almost red colour of it and I reckon it is going to look super cute this summer.

 

Also thought I would mention how impressed I am by the quality of this. I wore it on a night out and was pleasantly surprised to wake up the next morning and not manage to find a single click in the lace. Overall, very impressed with this and might have to buy it in another colour as I seem to be obsessed with crop tops lately. Primark did gurrrrrd.

OOTD #1 | LBD with a twist

 

 

 

Black lace dress - Topshop sale | Tiger print bodycon dress - Ebay |  Lipstick - MAC Red

 

Just thought I would upload a quick outfit that I wore yesterday for a cinema date & lunch with the mother. I haven't been getting much wear out of this tiger bodycon recently as it is extreeeemely short and I seem to have lost the confidence to wear it, so I partnered it up with this simple black lace dress I found in winter in a Topshop sale. I'm a sucker for animal print so I was glad I found something in my wardrobe to wear this with and still feel comfortable and casual. The long sleeves came in handy as it is STILL pretty damn cold in Newcastle and I just like the effect of the tiger print against the plain black-ness of the dress.

I haven't included what jewellery I wore as I just kept it simple with some of my classic gold rings and a gold necklace I got as a present for my birthday last year.

Beauty | MAC RED

Who can resist a bit of red lippy? I certainly can't. If I remember correctly I first bought this beauty about a year ago and fell instantly in love with it. This is the second time I've purchased it as in a tipsy state of mine a few months back I unfortunately lost the original (I clearly enjoy my local nightlife too much, oops!)  This is one of the satin finish lipsticks and I don't find it too drying like some of the other MAC lipsticks I own. I tend to pop a little bit of Vaseline on my lips before applying the lipstick and that keeps them from getting too dry. All in all it's just a yummy bright red colour and is definitely my go to colour on most nights out.

New to the blogging thang...

Bit of a latecomer to the world of blogging, but recently I seem to have plenty of time on my hands and think it's necessary to chuck some creativity back into my life.
I'm not too great at introductions but basically I'm a little blondie from Newcastle with a keen interest in fashion and beauty, currently on a gap year trying to save (Ha!) some £££. That's all there really is to know, thank you or reading this far already!
